A Place to Belong
A six-week live membership about food, embodiment, memory, and the rituals that help us feel at home.
Oct 27th — Dec 8th 2026
Created by a nutritionist with a background in marketing and design.
Built for people who want to challenge their food beliefs.
Designed as a small founding experience.
AboutWhat makes a meal feel familiar? How do our bodies hold memory, culture, pleasure, discomfort, and change?
Home — A place to belong is the first GARFA CLUB membership: a small, live, founding experience for exploring the relationship between food, the body, and the places we call home.
Not another diet.
This is an invitation to slow down, pay attention, and become curious about the experiences that shape our relationship with food. A small, live, experimental membership for people who want to explore their relationship with food and the body through conversation, reflection and culture.
Why this membership?
We often talk about home as a place but home can also be something we experience within ourselves.
Our bodies are where we taste, remember, move, rest, digest, desire, and relate to the world.
Over six weeks, we will explore what it means to inhabit the body with more curiosity and less judgment, while considering the role of food, memory, culture, space, and other people.
What we will explore
The body as a place we live in.
Hunger, appetite, nourishment, and attention.
Sensory experiences of eating.
Food memories and family rituals.
Body image and changing bodies.
Small rituals that help us feel more present.
How it works
Each week, a new theme will become available.
You can read, listen, reflect, or simply notice what the theme brings up for you. Then we will meet live as a group to discuss the topic.
You can participate through conversation, listening, reflection, or presence.
-
DescriWe begin with the idea of the body as a place we live in.
What does it mean to feel at home in the body?
When do we feel present, absent, comfortable, or disconnected?
What helps us arrive in the moment?ption text goes here
-
We explore hunger, appetite, nourishment, and the ways we learn to interpret bodily signals.
How have we been taught to understand hunger?
What is the difference between eating with attention and eating perfectly?
How can appetite be approached with curiosity rather than judgement? text goes here
-
We turn towards the sensory experience of eating.
What do taste, smell, texture, temperature, and sound bring to a meal?
How does the environment affect the way we eat?
What sensory details make a meal feel comforting or alive?
-
We explore food memory, family rituals, cultural identity, and the stories held by the body.
Which foods are connected to particular people or places?
What meals have shaped our sense of belonging?
What do we carry with us when we move, change, or leave home?
-
We consider bodies as changing, imperfect, social, and lived-in — not as permanent projects.
How do we relate to bodies that change?
What happens when appearance stops being the main measure of wellbeing?
What does care look like without control?
-
We finish with hospitality, connection, and the possibility of making home with others.
What makes a table feel welcoming?
How can we share food without performing perfection?
What rituals do we want to carry forward?
